PREPARE YOUR SURFACES – IMPROVE ADHESION

Surface treatment is a
preliminary phase before direct printing,
applying paint or varnish or gluing together two naturally incompatible materials.

Our custom solutions improve the adherability of your substrates,
guaranteeing effective bonding and a permanent hold.

  • On base-cups of PET bottles

FOAM ADHESION

Adhesion by PU foaming

On technical parts or PP/PE honeycomb sheets, so that the foam adheres perfectly to the honeycomb walls. Adhesion by foaming gives extremely high mechanical strength to this lightweight material.

EFFLUVAGE INDIRECT® INNOVATION

Thanks to our Effluvage Indirect® (Indirect Discharge) technology, we can now treat both the outside AND the inside of honeycomb sheets (PP or PE) so that the injected PU foam can be bonded to both the inside of the honeycomb walls and the outside of the sheet.

Where does the innovation lie? As PU foam does not naturally adhere to polypropylene, it was previously impossible to make it stick to the inside honeycomb walls. But thanks to our Effluvage Indirect® treatment, the honeycomb sheet becomes ultra-rigid while remaining lightweight. What’s more, it also becomes a potential thermal or sound insulator, as well as being unsinkable. This opens up some very practical opportunities in terms of improving the cooling of refrigerated lorries, maintaining temperatures in cold rooms, manufacturing highly resistant yet lightweight boats, etc.

We are continuing to carry out other tests to explore other potential characteristics that we don’t even know about yet!
